In a powerful sermon on Valentine's Day, Fr. Ebube Muonso emphasized the importance of understanding the different seasons of life, urging young people to make the most of their time.
"The first 30 years of life is a Season of Preparation," Fr. Ebube Muonso said, stressing the need for young people to lay a solid foundation for their future. "This is a time to acquire knowledge, develop skills, and build character. It's a season to prepare your life and make it easier for yourself. If you don't plan well, you'll fail."
The second season, he described as the Season of Harvest, is a time when one's earlier investments and preparations begin to yield fruit. "This is a season to reap the rewards of your hard work and planning," he said. "It's also a time to start investing in the lives of others, making a positive impact on your community and the world around you."
The third and final season is the Season of End, a time when one begins to prepare for the inevitable end of life. "In this season, you'll look back on your life and want to make amends, to set things right and make it better," Fr. Ebube Muonso said. "Death can come at any time, so it's essential to live with purpose and intention."
Urging young people to be mindful of their priorities, Fr. Ebube Muonso cautioned against confusing fleeting emotions with true love. "Be careful what you tag as love," he said. "Don't let misguided notions of love derail your future. Utilize your God-given potentials, and make the most of the season you're in."
The message resonated deeply with the youth, who were encouraged to reflect on their lives and make intentional decisions about their future.
