‘Federal Government Does Not Have Plan for Us; There Is No Job’ — Fr. Ebube Muonso Urges Youths to Take Responsibility

Rev. Fr. Ebube Muonso, Spiritual Director of Holy Ghost Adoration Ministry, Uke, has urged Nigerian youths to stop waiting for government employment and instead embrace responsibility, enterprise and self-development, saying the Federal Government cannot provide jobs for everyone.
Fr. Ebube muonso gave the charge during his Sunday Mass homily at Blessed Iwene Tansi, umudioka where he spoke extensively on the Davidic anointing, prosperity and personal responsibility, urging young Nigerians to draw lessons from the life of David in the Bible.
According to him, David did not allow his age to become a limitation. Despite being young, he took responsibility, confronted Goliath and ultimately drew the attention of the world through his courage and commitment.
The Catholic priest therefore challenged Nigerian youths to arise, develop themselves and take responsibility for their future rather than waiting endlessly for the government to provide employment.
He said, “The Federal Government does not have a plan for us; there is no job,” stressing the need for young people to acquire skills, become productive and create opportunities for themselves.
Fr. Ebube muonso also called on Christians to wake up and boldly defend their faith, drawing an example from David, who, according to him, stood up to defend the name and honour of God when others were afraid.
He urged Christians to become responsible ambassadors of Christ and to live in a manner that reflects their faith.
Addressing young women, the priest equally encouraged them to embrace responsibility, discipline and good values, stressing that the future of society depends largely on the choices young people make today.
He further encouraged Christians to learn from David’s relationship with God by making God their personal Lord and Saviour and embracing a life of righteousness.
The homily formed part of activities marking Day 13 of the ongoing 30 Days Prayer March, which has continued to attract a large number of worshippers and adorers.
The Sunday Mass was reportedly filled to capacity, with faithful participating in prayers and spiritual activities centred on faith, responsibility, prosperity and the pursuit of a righteous life.
