FR. EMMANUEL OBIMMA SLAMS VICTOR OSIMHEN: “PRIDE WILL LIMIT YOUR DESTINY!”

During Day 2 of the Man Power program, the fiery Anambra priest Fr. Emmanuel Obimma – Ebube Muonso also the Spiritual Director of Holy Ghost Adoration Ministry Uke publicly condemned Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen for his on‑field attitude in the recent AFCON match against Mozambique.
Fr. Obimma described Osimhen’s behavior as “arrogant” and “prideful,” pointing to the incident where the forward argued with teammates after they failed to pass the ball to him. He warned that such pride could stunt a man’s progress, noting that Osimhen’s “arrogant character is very bad and it’s not the first or second time,” and suggested this might be why the player is still based in Turkey rather than moving to a bigger European club.
Beyond the football critique, the priest urged all men present – a massive crowd of men and women from various creeds – to avoid pride, dream big, stay consistent with God, and take their lives seriously this year. He also praised the resilience of the Igbo people, recalling how they survived the post‑Biafra policies under General Gowon, and called for peace and love among Nigerians.
The program highlighted Fr. Obimma’s strong words about Osimhen’s conduct and his broader message of humility and faith for men today.
